Water

We offer household and bulk water to Village residents and those close by.  

* The Village of Mosquero water system consistently maintains compliance with all state quality standards. For more information on water quality please contact the Village directly.

A $15.00+Tax maintenance fee shall be charged to meters that are connected to the Village Water system but are currently "inactive".

*This rate will go into effect 10/1/24*

The minimum usage of water in the Village of Mosquero is 2000 gallons per month. After 7001 gallons there is an

$12.00 increase for every increment per 1000 gallons.

 Bulk Water is to be paid in advance. Rate for 100 gallons is $18.00, rate for 1000 gallons is $23.00 & $5.00 increase for every increment per 100 gallons.

Late fees and disconnect notices:

A flat rate fee of $10.00+Tax will be added to each invoice affective the 15th of each month if the previous month is not paid in full. In accordance with Village of Mosquero Ordinance 2022-01, any and all charges not paid within 30 days from the date the payment is due shall be considered past due and the customer shall be disconnected.

Water rates and connection fees.

Water Installation Fees is Pre-paid and non- refundable in the amount of $750.00.

An additional fee of $500.00 may be incurred during the installation process should the need to cut through paved roads be required. 

Reconnection fee is $25.00, if water service has been disconnected due to nonpayment, meter will be pulled by the Utility operator.

Customer Outreach Survey

New Mexico Environmental Department has initiated that all community and non-transient, non-community public water systems must develop a service line inventory that identifies the service line materials of the public water distribution system (“Systems”). The service line inventory shall be submitted to the New Mexico Environment Department, Drinking Water Bureau (“NMED”) by October 16, 2024.

Please help us determine your service line material by completing the requested survey (see box below labeled survey) in addition to the required photo documentation and submit via email to villageofmosquero@gmail.com or mail to PO Box 116, 38 Main St., Mosquero NM 87733.
