Meeting Information:
The regularly scheduled meetings of the governing body will be held at 5:00 P.M on the second Tuesday of each month in the Village Hall Council Chamber, located at 38 Main ST. Mosquero NM 87733.
Municipal Statutes
The Village of Mosquero as a municipality of the State of New Mexico, is granted provisions by the New Mexico Statues Annotated, 1978, Chapter 3, and associated Articles.

Village Council Positions
The Village of Mosquero Council is made up of the following positions:

Mayor

4 members of the governing body
​Additional Notes:

The Terms of office for the Mayor and members of the Governing body shall be four years.

The term of office for members of the governing body shall be staggered so that the terms of office for one-half of the members of the governing body will expire every 2 years.

Any elected municipal officer whose term has expired shall continue in that office until a successor is elected and has taken office pursuant to the provisions of the Local Election Act [Chapter 1, Article 22 NMSA 1978]

The Village of Mosquero Council positions are elected as part of each Regular Local Election, run by the Harding County Clerk's Office.

State Requirements

Due to the Village's population size, Council member positions for the Village of Mosquero are elected at-large and not divided by specific districts.

Council members must reside within the Village of Mosquero limits. If any member of the governing body permanently removes their residence from or maintains no residence in the district (aka the Village municipal limits) from which they were elected, they shall be deemed to have resigned.
