Online Bill Pay FAQs
The Village of Mosquero will soo be allowing online bill pay through Xpress Bill Pay! Here's a quick FAQ to answer some questions you might have about this service!
~~~
How exactly does this work?
When you get your bill in the mail, come to the Village's website and click on the "online bill pay" button under the Utility Service's tab. Fill out the form, input your payment information and you're all done!
Will you also be sending online invoices?
No, utility invoices will still be sent out hard copy either in the form of a post card or full sized paper invoice. These usually go out around the 23rd of each month depending on where that falls in the work week.
Can you only pay online now?
Not at all! The Village will still accept payments in the form of checks or money orders. This is purely for those who want to either pay online OR be able to come in and/or call the office to pay your bills with a credit card or other electronic payment type.
Is there a fee for this service?
Yes, there is a small fee charged to the customer for each transaction. This will pre-populate when you pay and is either 3.5% of the transaction amount OR a minimum of $3.00's on top of the bill you are paying.
What about Auto-pay?
Sadly auto-pay, aka the "set it and forget it" is not compatible with the Village's accounting software.
Is this only for utility payments?
Nope! This service is also for anyone who wishes to pay for animal licenses or business licenses. However, if you are wishing to have services connected (or reconnected), please call the Village Office first.
Is the system active now?
At this time, if you'd like to use the service provided, please fill out the registration form either online or in person at the Village Office. This will allow us to get you all set up on the backside of things so when everything goes live, you're already set up and ready to go! The tentative date to start accepting online payments until October 27, 2025.
